boho chic autumn outfit

Although boho trend is usually associated with warmer months, it can actually be worn and styled throughout the whole year. The key to its autumn transition is layering airy boho pieces with knits, oversized coats and suede shoes, like I did in this Max&Co. look. White, red and berry shades, floral print and flowing material are the key elements of this stunning maxi dress, which I paired with an orange-red coat and the iconic Miss Juno bag, thus adding a chic touch to the whole outfit.

“Če si tudi ti želiš postati boho chic dekle (ali si morda privoščiš kaj drugega), lahko v trgovini Max&Co. na Miklošičevi v Ljubljani do konca novembra izkoristiš 20% popusta, tako da na blagajni poveš kodo: Ajdas blog.”

Huawei P9

Today I wanted to share with you some blogging essentials I always keep on hand in order to be prepared for those crazy, manic days. Nowdays being a blogger is a lifestyle and with interesting projects all over the country and abroad, each blogger can’t work without some essential gadgets for blogging on the go. Here are mine:

#1 HP Spectre x360

A great laptop is for sure essential for any blogger. Being probably the most important of blogging gadgets, it needs to work as good as possible. I recently made an upgrade (you can read all about it here), and my new HP Spectre x360 is way more convenient then my previous one. With a 13’’ inch screen, lightweight, thin and sleek exterior, amazing properties, it earned the number 1 spot on my on-the-go essentials list. Bringing your laptop along on a daily basis every gram counts, especially if you want to make the most of your time. Some opt for leaving their laptop at home and bringing a tablet along, while I can have both. My HP Spectre x360 can be used as a regular laptop, in a full tablet mode, stand or tent mode, the latter three come extremely helpful especially when I’m in meetings, showing the client my work or project ideas. Overall, it’s useful for traveling (I’ve got quite a few planned for the next two months) and generally days away from home (and working in the cafeterias for example), since it doesn’t really take up much space.

#2 Huawei P9

The main reason why I decided to upgrade from the Huawei P8 was the superb quality dual-camera system on the Huawei P9. Any blogger on the go appreciates the photo quality that can compare to an otherwise heavy and unpractical DSLR camera. I still use a DSLR for taking blog photos, but on a daily basis taking quick shots from my everyday life is the job for my Huawei P9 (each shot just needs a filter in VSCO, and it’s ready to publish. It has great battery life too, plus it looks super dashing. A great smartphone is essential for keeping my blog and social channels up to date.

#3 Planner

Call me old-fashioned, but I still swear by a good old planner. Relying on electronic equipment has taught me a lesson, and overall I prefer important things to be written down. Every year I am on the hunt for the prefect planner, this year it luckily came into my life thanks to the Beautiful Bloggers Meetup, a conference for beauty bloggers here in Slovenia. In order to never forget to write down my blog ideas, meetings, other important details and keep organized, carrying a planner is a must for me.

What to do on a lazy Sunday

Well, my dear fashionista, are you bored or uninspired? I’ve rounded up a list of fashion-related things you can do on a weekend, when all your plans fell through (or you had none), you already watched all the episodes of your favoruite TV series and your best friend doesn’t answer the phone. What to do on a lazy Sunday?

1
Read and comment on fashion blogs (like mine, obviously!), discover new up and coming bloggers and bookmark them

2
Stalk your favourite fashion icons on Instagram, find some new ones and give them your support by following and commenting underneath the photos (@ajdasitar is my username, if you don’t follow me there)

3
Get some serious style inspiration from Pinterest (try searching for: “autumn outfits” “ootd” “fashion blog” “aw16”)

4
Clean up your closet (donate some stuff) and make room for new pieces

5
Finally put away all your summer clothing, if you haven’t already and neatly fold the winter ones

6
Shop online, what else are Sundays for?! Plus the chances of getting your order delivered by the end of the week are way better.

7
Clean and sort your shoe closet (boring, but you’ll appreciate it already on Monday)

8
Take care of your leather pieces, gently clean them up and apply a nourishing product

9
Prepare your outfits 3 days ahead and try to find some new ways to style your pieces

10
Make a plan which fashion essentials you need in your closet (a black blazer for instance?)

multimasking beauty trend

What is multimasking and why you need to try it out?

Multimasking is, as the name suggests, applying different types of masks that are customized to different parts of your face. As ridiculous and pointless as it may look or sound, this customized skin remedy has major complexion benefits. It looks like patch-work: applying different types of masks with different active ingredients on different parts of your face simultaneously in order to address different concerns. Getting breakouts around your nose or having clogged pores and oilier T-zone? Dry cheeks? Puffy under-eye area? It sounds like multimasking is something for you – treating different parts differently instead of using only one mask. Multimasking has been growing in popularity over the past few months, many beauty gurus have been practising it and sharing its beneficial effects. I would highly suggest you check it out, especially if you have combination skin type or you still haven’t found the best mask for you.

I came across multimasking for the first time, when I started using Vichy mineral face masks, three of them to be exact. Vichy recently brought out face masks enriched with natural minerals, helping the skin look radiant and fresh, I was eager to try them out. Vichy being strongly connected to the Earth included three elements – earth, water and rock into three mineral masks, which can all be applied to the face using the multimasking technique. They all work great individually, but customizing is definitely more beneficial.

Vichy Quenching Mineral Face Mask

Vichy Quenching Mineral Face Mask is enriched with 10% Vichy Mineralizing Thermal Water, glycerine and soothing vitamin B3 to act as a hydration boost for dry, dehydrated and uncomfortable skin. It’s super refreshing, since it also cools down the puffiness on your face. I believe it’s a great “slept-for-only-three-hours” fix, when you need a little extra to get your day started (looking as good as you can of course).

Vichy Double Glow Peel Face Mask

Vichy Double Glow Peel Face Mask contains volcanic rocks, vitamin Cg and AHA fruit acids, which gently peel off dead cells through a double-peel action. Skin is luminous after each use, and all flakiness is gone. This one is for sure my favourite, it comes handy especially in these colder months, when my skin needs some extra care.

Vichy Mineral Pore Purifying Clay Mask

Vichy Mineral Pore Purifying Clay Mask is a clay mask rich in two white clays (Kaolin, Bentonite), which are supposed to draw out excess sebum and impurities from the skin. It also contains Aloe Vera, that hydrates and soothes. Even though this one is technically not made for me (having dry to normal skin type), I tried it anyway and put it on my nose a few times after wearing way too much makeup. It did a great job removing all the dirt in my pores, the rest was handed to my sister, who has combination skin type.

Multimasking is far more than just a crazy beauty trend! It’s effective, easy and fun!

autumn fashion picks

Deeply in autumn mood, I am sharing with you my favourite autumnal fashion pieces. For me, autumn brings neutral, muted colours (meaning: lots of grey, black and cream), warm jumpers, my well-loved coats, ankle boots, scarves, lots of layering and mixing of fabrics. I love the change in wardrobe this season brings. Three pieces I can easily call my key autumn fashion picks are the following:

#1 ankle boots

Ankle boots are essential this time of year and will take you through autumn and beyond. This year, instead of going for the obvious colour choice (read: black), I decided to choose the brown version instead – with a rounded toe and a smart midi heel. They are comfortable and versatile, which definitely puts them up on my autumn fashion favourites list.

#2 ribbed dress

Ribbed clothing is having a major moment this autumn and is definitely one of the hottest trends right now. I’ve bought quite a few new ribbed pieces, everything from shirts, turtlenecks and dresses. One of them is this cream version that I already showed you in the Ljubljana Fashion Week outfit post. This ribbed dress is a staple in my wardrobe, I’ve been wearing it constantly this autumn.

#3 faux-shearling gilet

The statement piece I’ve been loving this autumn is the Diesel faux-shearling gilet, which is for sure something special. Even though it is as statement as a gilet can be, it’s rather easy to combine with different styles. The colour makes it perfect for matching with dark or light colours, the fact that it’s reversible (plus having a belt) means you actually have 2 pieces in one. It deserves a spot in my top autumn fashion picks, obviously!
