This Hallhuber jacquard coat is for sure one of my most statement outerwear pieces, at least regarding the print and material. It’s made of solid-touch jacquard, fitted with a straight cut, round neckline and cropped sleeves, perfect for layering up in these Autumn days. Even though my boyfriend asked if I stripped down a sofa to get its material (he was obviously joking), I truly love this piece. Open front adds casual flair, graphic floral print is everything but usual and boring. Believe it or not, it’s suitable for many occasions, from running errands in the city, to casual Friday work choices. With a main outerwear piece like this, you can easily opt for the most basic clothes to wear (like a white shirt and skinny jeans together with your favourite pair of boots). The coat will catch the attention and make your whole look pop.

Another new favourite of mine is my new smartphone. I switched from Huawei P8 to Huawei P9 and I must say, this new gadget is really darn good. To be exact, there was nothing wrong with my older Huawei, but a sharp premium classy look and the best smartphone camera out there convinced me to upgrade. As a blogger I appreciate the camera quality more than anything. The Huawei P9 in fact has a dual 12MP primary camera co-engineered with Leica that offers results similar to a DSLR camera. I will definitely keep you posted about it.

HP Spectre x360

The battle between Mac and Windows has raged across time and space. Two sides of loyalists, in between there’s us, wondering whether to invest in one or the other. At the end of the day, we only want one thing: a computer that truly works. This Summer I was confronted with the fact that my laptop is saying the final goodbye. Somewhere on the way to Mexico WiFi connectivity stopped working. Imagine me, working mainly online, searching for a LAN cable in the middle of sandy beaches of the Riviera Maya. Not extremely successful either. Not funny! I knew I would be looking for a new laptop soon.

Obviously, mainly working from home and running a blog demands a computer that works. If I say I practically live in my laptop, I wouldn’t be exaggerating. I knew what I wanted and needed, I wasn’t ready to settle for anything less than great. I wanted a light, slim laptop with a 13″ screen, backlit keyboard, fast processor and graphic card (not that I am an expert on that matter, but I knew I wouldn’t be satisfied with anything less than “extremely good”). It needed to be practical, reliable and fast to check my daily mail, writing and editing articles, as well as photo editing. I wanted a good battery life, while a sleek, chic appearance was something equally important. I admit. As shallow and pathetic as it sounds. To be completely honest, I wasn’t really monitoring the “laptop market”, so I assumed I would end up with an Apple. Well, I didn’t. I came across Microsoft heros and the HP Spectre x360 convinced me to stay on Windows.

There are many reasons why. Designer, minimalistic, utterly beautiful look, solid aluminium body, handy, easy-to-carry-around size (it’s thin and light: 13,3’’ and 1,4kg), super sharp and vivid screen (making easy to edit photos), amazing battery life, custom Bang & Olufsen audio system, overall great characteristics. What was a game changer for me is the fact that the HP Spectre x360 is a convertible notebook, that allows easy conversion from classic notebook mode, to tablet mode. Shifting between both is seamless, something I now really appreciate. I am telling you, touch-screen is something you NEED on your laptop!

Staying on Windows is something I don’t regret. It allows me to upgrade from the hardware and software standpoint, it provides lots of flexibility and customization, it connects great with my new Huawei P9 (I recently upgraded my Huawei P8 to the P9, and I must say I’m impressed, especially the camera quality is superb!), while also offering some cool features. The HP Spectre x360 has everything I need (and more) for my daily work.

Vikend jesenskih modnih revij Citypark

I am gladly announcing I just finished another successful project. As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, 6 Slovenian fashion bloggers had the chance to be a part of the autumn fashion shows at the Citypark Ljubljana shopping mall.

Together with Tesa (Magniqifue), Katja (Viva la Vida), Alja (ABC Style), Nataša (Anakrejevska), Eva (Love, Eva), stylist and designer David Hojnik, we co-created the autumn fashion shows, each of us tested out our styling abilities to the fullest. I mean, the whole Citypark is full of great stores and amazing brands, but finding the prefect combination can definitely be a challenge. We each put together 6 outfits of our choice, 4 female and 2 male. My inspiration was the monochrome trend, I decided to include all of the hottest autumn colour trends: timeless grey, beige with camel, the ultimate black & white combo and trendy red.

For those of you who came to the fashion show, a big thank you! Especially to those who approached me for a lovely chat. For all those who didn’t have the chance to see the outfits in person, here is a photo recap, that can maybe help you choose your autumn or winter styling.

camel outfit

There’s a reason why camel is one of the most popular shades for chic and classy women. It’s THE shade of THE trench coat for a good reason. Camel is a classic neutral, that brings a luxurious and smart feel to each outfit (even the most affordable pieces can look more expensive than they really are, one reason more to go for a camel outfit!). Camel goes great with almost every colour out there, my personal favourite is pairing it with similar, neutral shades like in today’s outfit: throwing a two-coloured coat over a delicate sweater, styling them with black skinny jeans, a trendy choker, a timeless watch and my favourite shoes of the season!
