Dubrovnik, also known as the Pearl of the Adriatic, is one of Croatia’s most visited tourist destinations. I was mostly fascinated by it’s Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, which is full of stunning architecture and historical richness. Today it partly owes it’s glory to the famous Game of Thrones series, as visitors from all over the world travel there to explore the paths of their favourite characters.

Not to be overlooked is the city wall around the Old Town, approximately 2 km long, where you can enjoy the breath-taking views of the city and sea. However, the best spot to capture the whole city with your camera is definitely Srđ (check my previous post and see the photos I took there here). I decided to drive to the top with my Renault Kadjar, while taking a cable car is also an option. TheMedieval town offers many interesting sights – from churches, buildings, small gardens, town beach and Stradun (or Placa), the main limestone-paved street. My visit was short, but sweet and I know I will most definitely return one day. You can read my experience in Slovene HERE.

Renault Kadjar

Saying farewell to the sandy beaches of Mexico, grabbing coffee at the London airport, landing in the beautiful Italian town of Venice and continuing on the roads of Slovenia (hello home for a few minutes!) to Croatia, crossing the Bosnian border and back to Croatia again to our final destination – Dubrovnik. Our road to Croatia Music Adventures festival was quite the ride! The 1000km (one way!) journey sounds like quite a handful, but my Renault Kadjar made it effortless . The town itself is a true Mediterranean gem, CMA offered an amazing atmosphere and great lineups. You can read all about my second music festival experience HERE.

Fresh Island festival Pag

It’s been a while since my trip to Pag, Croatia. Meanwhile I visited the sandy beaches of Mexico and explored the historical town of Dubrovnik, Croatia. The Fresh Island Festival was the first music festival I visited this summer, followed by CMA in Dubrovnik, while the third one is coming up in half a month. Renault definitely made sure the trips will be unforgettable. Let me show you some photo clips from the crazy Chris Brown lineup and windy morning that followed. An embroidered jeans jacket was a must, I couldn’t have survived the wind without it. My advice to all the festival visitors out there would be to always keep in mind, that things can go south, without you having any influence. My Fresh Island Festival experience has thought me to always have the following with me: great company (obviously), portable battery charger (unless you want to end up without the best Chris Brown snap published), a jacket (that can be styled in multiple different ways) and a reliable, comfortable car (you never know what roads will bring you). Renault Captur

This year Renault invited me to visit one of the most popular music festivals in Croatia – Fresh Island Festival. I had an amazing with my fellow blogger Tesa (Magnifique blog) and my best friend Aida. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery and relaxed atmosphere on Pag, the highlight of the trip was seeing Chris Brown perform live. You can read more about our adventure with Renault Captur here, the text is this time only in Slovene, but you can still enjoy the photo diary.

Eric Vökel BCN Suites

From white, romantic streets of Mykonos to colourful, historically rich Barcelona my summer was in full swing. Together with three of my friends, I explored the landmarks of the capital of Catalonia. Barcelona was full of delicious food, architectural masterpieces, vibrant streets and relaxed atmosphere. Eric Vökel BCN Suites was our baseline for discovering the city and it turned out to be a great pick.

A short walk from Sagrada Familia

Born in Denmark, Eric Vökel inspired by the minimalistic Scandinavian design and architecture decided to add a Mediterranean touch to his first project, Eric Vökel Boutique Apartments in Barcelona. Shortly after followed Madrid and Amsterdam, with New York being the newest upcoming addition. One of the three places in Barcelona, Eric Vökel BCN Suites are located just a short walk from Barcelona’s biggest attraction, the magnificent Sagrada Familia and the Eixample district. Easy access to other Barcelona must sees makes the place a great starting point for discovering the city.

Scandinavian design meets Mediterranean vibe

Our one bedroom apartment with an extra double sofa bed was spacious, minimalistic and sophisticated. My favourite spot was definitely the terrace, which was a perfect place to have morning coffee, snack on croissants or have a glass of sangria in the evenings. The whole place was tastefully furnished and functionally designed to make guests feel welcome and comfortable.
