Aquafresh Fashion Week Slovenia S/S 2014 started with the Nitro conference and fashion show at 9pm. The first designer was m*faganel, who was definitely my favorite (wearable), however  I did like the creativity of Ivan Roco, who’s collection was presented as last. The other designers – Maja Štamol (the only thing that bothered me – and I mean, really bothered me was the pyramid shaped purse, which looked like a copy of the one from Katja Klepec), Urša Drofenik, Sofia Nogard and Irena Funduk, weren’t my cup of tea, but I could still find some really nice pieces. You can check all the designers and their work here. This post is actually totally dedicated to the outfit I wore on the first day. I decided to go for a leather dress, fur handbag, statement necklace, three Hana Karim ceramic rings, curly hair (made by Lasek hairsalon) and bold red nails and lips. After all, it was a “red” day (all the days were thematic – the first one was red, the second one white and the third blue).

You can probably guess from the title that this post is all about October, the Breast Cancer Awareness month. It is important to be aware of breast cancer, to be able to detect the disease in its early stages (therefore it’s highly treatable) and encourage other to do the same. I took part in an event in the centre of Ljubljana where Bizjan&Co made a donation to the Europa Donna organisation. Jessica presented their Polish Up and Fight On collection of nailpolishes (with 31 shades – one for each day of October) along with the presentation of a Breast test mobile app – Trust your hands (available in 6 different languages including English). I’m glad that every year more and more campaigns are giving their support to the cause!

October’s “most wanted” is definitely a handbag big enough to store all my study books and other essentials for the start of the new semester. I’ve always had a thing for huge bags, I’m not sure why I prefer the size, but I just love having enough space to store all my necessary (and unnecessary) stuff. This one in blue and black is from Gigi; amazing quality and a beautiful pattern. It goes great with everything, so I decided to go for a combo in beige, light blue and white. Plus it’s a perfect match for my shoes from Free People collection!

wearing: H&M trousers, Zara sweater, H&M vest, Gigi New York handbag, Triwa watch, Free People Mota Metal ankle boots, H&M rings, silver bracelet from Malta

Goodbye sunny days, hello Fall! It brings lower temperatures and the weather is less ideal when it comes to running outdoor. This year, I decided to stick to the plan – running in the nature at least once a week! We’ll see how it goes and I’m keeping my fingers crossed for enough energy and will! I just got my new Nike Pegasus running shoes and they definitely contribute as additional stimulation. I’ll try my best and just do it!

I have an enormous crush on Vichy’s Purete Thermale 3 in 1 Calming Cleansing Micellar Solution. It’s one of my all time favourite beauty products and definitely the holy grale of micellar solutions. Vichy actually has another one – Normaderm Micellar Solution, which is a gentle cleanser and make-up remover for imperfection-prone skin.

What they say at Vichy?
Vichy Normaderm Micellar Solution cleanses and purifies without rinsing. It cleanses impurities, sebum, make-up and soothes the skin. It’s perfect for men and women of all ages with sensitive skin. Skin is clean, purified and comfortable with no discomfort. This ultra-effective and ultra-gentle cleanser is enriched with zinc, and its micellar technology catches make-up and impurities without rubbing or rinsing. You can apply it in the morning and/or night on the face with a cotton pad. It’s tested under dermatological control; colorant-free, soap-free, alcohol free, paraben-free.

What do I say?
Having so much love for the other Vichy’s micellar solution I was really excited about trying this one out, but a bit afraid It wouldn’t reach my expectations. The first thing I wasn’t sure about was the fact that it looked like it will foam a bit (I really dislike the L’Oreal one for this reason mainly). Luckily, it didn’t. It removes make-up as sucessful as the Purete Thermale one (not great when it comes to waterproof make-up), maybe even slightly better. I always use two cotton pads, each for one eye and press them on my eyelids for 10 seconds and then contniue with cleaning. My skin is completly purified and not irritated. As I mentioned in my previous posts my skin is normal with some occasional imperfectiones (+ some dry areas occasionally) and the product works great on my skin. My sister (has an oily skin type) loves it as well. The only thing I don’t like about this product is the scent, which is a bit strange (I cannot discribe it properly, but it doesn’t seem natural and it quite strong). So if I had to choose I would go for the Purete Thermale over this one – the only reason is the scent. However, for people with imperfection-prone skin this one will be amazing!
