Whether you have perfect vision or not – glasses can be a very trendy choice! I used to go for the geeky ones in black or tortoise, so I decided to give these pink beauties a try as well. And you know what? I totally love them! I must admit it’s a bit harder to find a perfect outfit to match as they don’t match that many styles. They are my wildest choice so far (when it comes to prescription glasses) and I will definitely choose something similar next time. Firmoo has a nice offer of trendy, high quality and affordable frames. They also have a First Pair Free program and you can even check their virtual try-on system to find a perfect pair for yourself.

The Payot was launched by Dr. Nadia Payot in 1913 and her avant-garde legacy is still alive today. It is mostly used in beauty salons, however you can also buy their products and use them at home – they let women continue enjoying all the benefits of salon treatments at home. I got the chance to test and review three product from the Les Démaquillantes range, which promises to clean, nourish and prepare your skin for additional care.

LAIT DÉMAQUILLANT FRAÎCHEUR
Silky cleansing milk with cranberry extracts

A delicate, silky-smooth cleansing milk with cranberry extract is a product that is ideal for normal skin type, however it works great with any type. You can use it in the morning and at night – spread cleansing milk over face, neck and decolléte and remove with cotton pad; without rinsing it off. Cranberry extract stimulates and acts as an anti-oxidant, protecting and improving your skin tone; jojoba oil protects against dry skin, bioecolia regulates and restores balance to skin flora while smithsonite extract tones and revitalises the skin. The main reason I like it is because it eliminates makeup (waterproof mascara not perfectly) and impurities well while moisturising the skin. It doesn’t irritate my skin and makes an amazing smooth and soft finish.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Isononyl Isononanoate, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Propylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Pentylene Glycol, PEG-40 Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Panthenol, Alpha-Glucan Olgosaccharide, Allantoin, Smithsonite Extract, Vaccinum Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Fruit Juice, Olivine Extract, Bisabolol, Cyclopentasiloxane, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Polyacrilamide, C13-14 Isoparaffin, Tromethamine, Dimethiconol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Disodium EDTA, Laureth-7, Citric Acid, Trideceth-9, Parfum (Fragrance), Limonene, Citronellol, Geraniol, Coumarinl, Chlorphenesin

EFFACE’CILS DOUCEUR
Dual-textured cleanser for eyes and lips

It’s dual-phase texture gently and instantly removes the heaviest make up formulas (even waterproof) from the eyes and lips. It may be used by those with sensitive eyes including contact lens users. Shake it well before use (use it at night). Payot’s advise is to soak 2 cotton wool pads and apply on eyelids, leave it for 10 seconds, wipe the lashes without rubbing them from the root to the tip. This cleanser instantly soothes eyes and lips and reduces puffiness. It is suitable for all skin types (it works great for those who have normal or dry to very dry skin). Papaya extract is amazing for radiance and promoting cell renewal, while tea extracts are anti-irritant, they soften the skin and boost micro-circulation. Rhodochrosite extract has relaxing, soothing and stress combatting properties; smithsonite extract tones and revitalises the skin. This product really does what it promises. It removes make up very well without doubt. I must admit that I’m not the biggest fan of dual-phase make up removers, but I like this one. Especially because it doesn’t irritate my skin and doesn’t leave oily finish. Yes, it is quite pricey, but you don’t use much.

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Isohexadecane, Cyclopentasiloxane, Pentylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Smithsonite Extract, Rhodochrosite Extract, Cyclohexasloxane, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Decyl Glucoside, Disodium EDTA, Sodium Chloride, Disodium Phosphate, Potassium Phosphate, CI17200 (Red 33) AKA227, CI42090 (Blue 1) AOI

LOTION TONIQUE FRAÎCHEUR
Radiance-boosting exfoliating lotion with cranberry extracts

Moisturising, energising and refreshing Lotion Tonique perfects cleansing by leaving the skin perfectly clean and radiant. Using a cotton pad, wipe this lotion all over cleansed face and neck (use it morning and night). Cranberry extracts protect and improve skin tone; pineapple extract optimises natural desquamation with its gentle exfoliating properties; olivine combats stress and tiredness; bioecolia regulates and restores balance to cutaneous flora. After using the first two products, you don’t feel like you need to add some – at least not before you use this one as well. It really gives your skin fresh and energising feeling. I must admit that when I’m in hurry, I used to skip this step. After a few days of constant useage, I saw that that was a mistake it really is great. You really need to take an aditional minite or two when it comes to skin care. Skin will be thankful and you’d see the diference. These three Payot Les Démaquillantes products together give nice results – moisturised and radient skin finish!

Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Propylene Glycol, Pentylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide, Smithsonite Extract, Ananas Sativus (Pineapple) Fruit Extract, Vaccinium Macrocarpon (Cranberry) Fruit Juice, Olivine Extract, Bisabolol, Potassium Phosphate, Glycerin, Oleth-20, Disodium Edta, Disodium Phosphate, Citric Acid, Tromethamine, Trideceth-9, Alcohol Dent., Benzophenone-4, Parfum (Fragrance), Limonene, Citronellol, Geraniol, Coumarin, Chllorphenesin, CI 17200 (Red 33) AKA227, CI 15985 (Yellow 6) Ki5

Vichy Normaderm line is quite large, however I must admit that this product is my favourite by far. Vichy’s Normaderm Unclogging Exfoliating Gel – you may find it under the name Daily Exfoliating Cleansing Gel (the same ingredients and packaging, different name). A perfect product for those who are looking for exfoliating action with optimal yet gentle efficiency.

What they say at Vichy?
Daily Exfoliating Cleansing Gel for sensitive skin is suitable for men and women of all ages with normal and combination to oily skin, who want to smooth their skin’s texture while removing dead cells from its surface. Skin is smoothed, feels healthier and softer. Mechanical exfoliation through micro-beads eliminate dead cells. The herbal and floral fragrance wakes up your skin each time it is applied. It unclogs pores and refines the skin texture. Use it 2 to 3 times a week – massage onto damp face and rinse off with clear water. Also suitable for acne prone skin. No soap, no paraben, no alcohol.

What do I say?
Normaderm Daily Exfoliating Cleansing Gel works wonders on combination to oily skin (my sisters), however it’s amazing for those who have normal (or even a bit dried out) skin. I use it once or twice a week and the best effect is seen on my nose where I have a few clogged pores (I don’t have a mayor issue, but they can be seen if you take a really close look). It doesn’t irritate my skin and the micro-beads don’t feel to robust (it doesn’t scratch like some exfoliating products do). The result is super soft and smooth skin (as promised). It doesn’t dry out your skin, however a proper moisturising cream afterwards is a must. You don’t use it much, it smells amazing and it’s reasonably priced. Product worth trying out!

One of the simplest outfit combinations on my blog – faux leather trousers, white fluffy sweater and colorful bangles. Sal y Limon jewelry design style is recognisable by its simple and sophisticated concept, and that’s something I’ve always admired about them – staying true to themselves and keeping up their great work (check their facebook page). These three bangles are from the new Fall-Winter 2013 collection named Beautiful Baboushka. They make for a perfect match, however they also work great individually. Each is a perfect statement jewelry piece. Can’t wait to try some new combinations soon!
