A product worth mentioning right in the beginning is most definitely the-one-and-only – the Carmex. Carmex Everyday Lipbalm is available in a variety of forms, flavors and sun protection so there is sure to be one that is perfect for you. I do prefer those in jars to those in tubes or sticks (however they are not really hygienic and practical). The classic jars filled with lip balm are formulated to heal chapped lips and relieve symptoms of cold sores. Can you believe that this iconic white jar with its yellow cap has been around for 75 years? It is the only product that helps treat really dry lips, hands down. The downside may be the scent, some may find it unpleasant. I have the one with SPF15 as well – the cherry flavoured one, that I mostly use it when I am exposed to the sun (I prefer the original).
The other brand worth mentioning is definitely Burt’s Bees (all natural ingredients). I’ve come across their products about two years ago and tried the Beeswax Lip Balm, love it. I kind of forgot about them, and few weeks back I got the Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm and our love was renewed! Their tinted balms give you a hint of colour with a soft, sweet flavor and natural ingredients that moisturize and condition your lips. Available in nine flirty shades – I got it in Pink Blossom, which is perfect for everyday use.
When it comes to lipsticks, I haven’t been using them on a daily basis until I found the Lilylolo ones! They are really creamy, giving my lips natural glow while protecting them with Vitamin E and rosemary extract. Easy to wear, soft on the lips and moisturising. I got them in four different shades – Love Affair (a perfect natural colour, which I mostly use), Demure (natural peachy beige), Berry Crush (perfect builtable berry shade) and Desire (rich punchy red shade). Plus, they changed the packaging recently and it looks so amazing!
